This week?s tool: German Style Chasing Hammer,, #HAM-160.00
Video by Kate, JewelryTools.com
This week?s featured tool from JewelryTools.com is the German Style Chasing Hammer, HAM-160.00. This is a fun hammer that will allow you to flatten, chase, stamp, and texture jewelry. Useful for wire jewelry pieces as well as sheet metal and stamping. Had hammer heads that like to wiggle? This hammer is attached to its hardwood handle in an oblong hole, rather than a round one, making it less likely to slide around. Plus, the pein (rounded) face is at an angle, rather than opposite the flat face, which means you don?t have to hold your wrist in an awkward position just to put the hammer where you want it. Hammer has a high grade stainless steel 3oz head with a 25mm face (about 1"). Head has been case-hardened for long life. ? | Click here to see the Or, click below to see Hammer on Wire-Sculpture.com: |
